People v Patrick Dempsey

On December 20, 2018 a jury found Patrick Dempsey guilty of second degree murder, with the use of a firearm. At 4:15 am, on July 14, 2016, the homicide victim Spencer Reboredo was at a Chevron gas station in West Oakland. The defendant, Patrick Dempsey, pulled up to the location, jumped out of the car and began chasing Mr. Reboredo. The defendant yelled “If you run, you die” and began shooting at the victim. The victim was struck three times and died within minutes. The defendant fled the scene, driven by a friend. The defendant was sentenced on 2/7/19 in Dept. 3.

The case was prosecuted by Amilcar Ford.
