People v Timothy Dalton

On May 10 2018, a jury found Defendant Timothy Dalton guilty of Elder Abuse, Domestic Violence, vandalism and two counts of violating a stay away order, all misdemeanor offenses. On March 29 2018 at about 8:00p.m., Mr. Dalton went to his girlfriend’s father’s house convinced she was cheating on him. Mr. Dalton began punching his girlfriend in the mouth while in the front yard. When her 81 year old father came to her aid, Mr. Dalton punched him with enough force to knock him to the ground and began hitting him repeatedly in the face, leaving a permanent scar. The assault was witnessed by good Samaritan neighbors, one of whom had a Stay Away Order against Mr. Dalton because of his repeated past assaultive behavior against his girlfriend and threats to anyone who intervened on her behalf.

The case was handled by DDA Maggie Calonge, Inspector Jason Hawks and Victim-Witness Advocate Dina Aindow.
