People v Jabulani Williams

On December 12, 2018, a jury convicted Jabulani Williams of first degree premeditated murder and found true the allegation that Defendant used a deadly weapon, a knife, in connection with the November 21, 2013, murder of Casey Walker.

On November 21, 2013, Williams was tipped off that Casey Walker, a man with whom Williams had had an argument approximately three weeks prior, had been seen in the neighborhood. Williams immediately set off to find Walker, and located Walker two blocks away in a business on 73rd Avenue in East Oakland. Williams entered the business, stabbed Casey Walker fatally in the abdomen, and fled the scene.

Williams was identified by multiple individuals who were present in the neighborhood at the time of the murder, as well as an employee at the business.

Williams is scheduled to be sentenced on February 15, 2019.

The case was prosecuted by DDA John Ullom, with assistance from District Attorney's Inspectors Joseph McNiff and James Morris, and Victim Witness Advocate Stephanie Lynch.
