People v Derek Alan Hafelfinger

On March 16, 2016, a jury found defendant Derek Alan Hafelfinger guilty of two counts of oral copulation with a child under 10 years old, and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 years old.

During the trial, the victim testified to other sexual assaults that occurred out of state as well.

Defendant Derek Alan Hafelfinger was sentenced to 21 years to life in state prison for these crimes on April 14, 2016.

The case was prosecuted by Senior DDA Susan Torrence with assistance from DA Inspector Jean Luevano and Victim-Witness Advocate Nadia Bueno.
