Anoynymous Gun Buyback

The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, in conjunction with the Oakland Police Department and the Coalition of California Cities, will participate in this Saturday’s Anonymous Gun Buyback event.

This service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Limited to residents of the City of Oakland – Proof of residency will be verified by Youth Uprising.

Oakland residents are encouraged to turn in assault weapons, handguns, shotguns, and rifles. Each handgun, shotgun, and rifle will be bought back up to $100 cash and assault weapons as classified in the State of California will be purchased for up to $200 cash. This is an opportunity to help make the City of Oakland a safer community.

Quantities of the incentives are limited and subject to availability. The Oakland Gun Buyback site reserves the right to limit the number/amount of incentives an individual may receive regardless of the amount of firearms surrendered.
