The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office Victim/Witness Assistance Program was the first of its kind in California.

We are aware of, and concerned about, the problems that crime victims, witnesses and their families experience as a result of the victimization. Weeks, even months after the crime, many individuals are still experiencing problems due to the crime. Our office is dedicated and designed to alleviate some of these problems.

The Victim –Witness Assistance Division of the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office provides a variety of services for crime victims, witnesses, and their families as they work through the emotional trauma of their victimization.
