INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

ANNOUNCEMENT: Internship Opportunity for Social Welfare Undergraduate Student

Agency: Alameda County District Attorney’s Office (ACDAO), Human Exploitation and Trafficking (H.E.A.T.) Watch Program

Internship Description: Intern will assist the ACDAO H.E.A.T. Watch Coordinator for a multi-disciplinary case review of minors who are at risk or involved in commercial sexual exploitation. Intern will assist H.E.A.T. Watch Coordinator in collecting data, putting together case review documents, and attending weekly case reviews.

Please note: it is mandatory for intern to attend weekly case reviews (held every Tuesday from 1-3pm). Intern may also be asked to assist H.E.A.T. Watch Coordinator with various other projects related to the H.E.A.T. Watch Program. The internship requires 8-12 hours a week, depending on workload and the duration of the internship is either for the semester or 1 year, with the ability to extend.

Eligibility: Internship only available to students who are required to fulfill an independent study or required internship program in order to fulfill degree requirements at academic institution. Intern will need a signature from their supervisor in order to participate in internship program.
